We welcome every bee enthusiast, regardless of experience level, race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, or disability. Our hive is as diverse as the wildflower meadows our bees adore!

Description

Support Your Local Hive: Membership & Contributions

The Walker County Beekeepers Association (WCBA) is a volunteer-led organization dedicated to the health of our local pollinators and the education of our community. Your Annual Contribution ($20 per year) is what keeps our “hive” thriving and allows us to provide resources that would be difficult for individual hobbyists to manage alone.

What Your Contribution Supports

Your dues go directly back into the Walker County beekeeping community by funding:

  • Educational Programming: Bringing in expert guest speakers and providing high-quality training materials for our monthly meetings.

  • Community Outreach: Supporting our presence at local events like the Herb & Thyme Festival and the Master Gardeners Sales to educate the public on bee safety and welfare.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Purchasing and maintaining shared club equipment that is available for member use.

  • Youth & New Beekeeper Training: Funding practical, hands-on demonstrations and workshops for those just starting their journey.

  • Operational Costs: Helping us secure our meeting space at the Katy & Don Walker Education Center and managing our digital “Buzz List” communications.
