Walker County Beekeepers Association Mission Statement:
Our mission is to foster an engaged and knowledgeable community of Beekeepers by:
I. Educating the Public: We strive to provide comprehensive education on all aspects of beekeeping and safety, ensuring that the public is well-informed.
II. Assisting the Public: We commit to supporting the community at large in addressing all issues related to bee welfare and control with professionalism and expertise.
III. Training Local Beekeepers: We offer thorough information and practical training in all areas of beekeeping, enhancing the capabilities of local beekeepers for sustainable practices.

In our buzzing hive, the Walker County Beekeepers Association, Membership is open to all who wish to join our sweet community. We gather on the last Thursday of every month from January to October. From January through September, our meetings are held at the Katy and E. Don Walker Sr. Education Center, located at 1402 19th St., Huntsville, TX 77340. As the year closes in October, we celebrate with an end-of-year pot-luck, inviting friends and family to share honey and beekeeping stories, marking the close of our season in true hive spirit.
We welcome every bee enthusiast, regardless of their race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, or disability, ensuring our hive is as diverse as the wildflower meadows our bees adore.
To keep our hive thriving, members must renew their membership annually by paying their dues to our diligent treasurer. The annual nectar tribute is set at $20, which covers you and your immediate family members, with the payment deadline buzzing in by January 31st. Members who are in good standing with their dues can enjoy a range of benefits from our hive, including the use of club equipment and the exclusive opportunity to purchase starter boxes at a reduced price compared to the current market rates.
Come join us in this hive of activity where everyone is welcome to contribute to our collective honey-making efforts!
